Zach Brien is a photographer, videographer and journalist from New Orleans, Louisiana. His work adheres to one simple thing: "people doing things," something developed thanks to the work of photographers Robert Frank, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Doug Mills, Jim Marshall,Dianne Fitzmaurice, John McCusker, David Grunfeld, Logan Bowles, Ryan Kang, Michael P. Smith and Harold Baquet. This guiding principle also comes from his love of news, community news, live music and sports.
He studied journalism at Loyola University New Orleans. He works for local publications like the NOLA Messenger, the New Orleans Advocate, Where Y'at Magazine, Anti-Gravity Magazine and the National Football League. He also works for private clients, shooting events, weddings, concerts and more.
He is attending George Washington University to receive his masters in new media photojournalism, graduating in 2021.
